Printable Hansel and Gretel craft – What’s Inside?
This printable craft comes with everything you need to create the scene from Hansel and Gretel in paper form:
🏠A 3D candy house to color and build – with doors and windows that open and close.
🍬Lots of paper candy pieces – cut and paste them wherever you like to design the candy house of your dreams!
🧙♀️Hansel, Gretel, and the witch – printable characters with foldable bases so they can stand up and be part of the scene.
🧭Step-by-step instructions with pictures – clear and easy to follow.
📖A short version of the story to read aloud while you craft (in case you need a reminder of what happens!)

Quick peek: How it works
The full instructions are included in the printable file, but here’s the short version:
1. Print and cut out the pieces: house parts, window shutters, candy, and characters.

2. Make the house: Connect the walls to create the paper house. It has doors that open, and cute window shutters to add. The glue tabs make it easy to assemble the house and attach the roof.
3. Add candy: Decorate the paper house with the cut-and-paste candy, cookies and sweets. Get creative and make it your own!

4. Make the characters: Fold and glue Hansel, Gretel, and the witch. They have flat bases so they can stand up.

That’s it! Now you have your own Hansel and Gretel scene.

Deeper Into the Woods: A Meaningful Talk
While you’re making the candy house, it’s a great chance to talk with your kids about the story. Here are a few creative prompts to spark their imagination and start a thoughtful conversation:
🪄The candy house was a dream come true for Hansel and Gretel, who were hungry and lost. What magical thing would you want to find in the forest?
🪄The house looked amazing—but it hid a danger. Can you think of something that looks tempting, but might not be as good as it seems?
🪄Imagine you were with Hansel and Gretel when they found the candy house. What would you tell them? Would you go inside? Why or why not?
These kinds of questions turn craft time into something more meaningful, and it’s always interesting to hear what kids come up with.

For Family Time and Play Dates
This printable craft has enough parts to share—so it’s a great activity to do together. One person can build the house while another colors the candy or folds the characters. It’s perfect for play dates, rainy afternoons, or cozy family weekends when you want something calm and creative to do with your hands.
