Hey creative friends! There’s a fun new printable craft in my shop: a 3D Noah’s Ark craft for kids to color, cut, fold, and glue.
This printable paper craft lets kids create their own 3D model of Noah’s Ark — with a wooden cabin, a happy Noah, cute animals, and of a dove with an olive branch 🕊️
Aside from being a really fun craft with adorable details, it’s also a chance to talk about deeper meanings that you might find in the classic biblical story. But first — let’s dive into the craft!
Noah’s Ark Printable Craft – What’s Inside
The printable template for this craft has all the parts to build a paper Noah’s Ark in 3D. It comes as a 3-page PDF file, in black and white so kids can color everything before assembling.
The pages are set up for US Letter paper but also print well on A4 (no scaling needed).
Even though the final result looks fancy, this craft is totally kid-friendly. The shapes are simple to cut and fold, and the template comes with clear step-by-step instructions with photos.
This cute and easy bible craft is ideal for ages 6 and up — great for Sunday school, homeschool lessons, or just a quiet afternoon craft at home.

How to Make Noah’s Ark
Here’s a quick overview of how Noah’s Ark comes together (full instructions come with the printable):
1.Cut out the pieces of the template: the ark, cabin, animals, windows, Noah, and dove.
2. Fold along the dashed lines and glue the tabs to form the body of the ark.
3. Assemble the cabin and attach it to the ark.
4. There are also windows, with cute animals and the flapping shutters!
5. Add animals to both sides of the cabin.
6. Add Noah. He has a mount that helps him stay upright.
7. Attach the dove to the roof — and you’re done!
What’s In Your Ark?
Let’s recall the story of Noah’s ark: God sends a huge flood to wash away a world that went off track. He tells Noah to build an ark and bring with him a male and female of every animal, along with Noah’s family. While the rest of the world is washed away, the ark holds just enough to rebuild when the waters go down.
What really stayed with me is this: Noah didn’t just survive the flood — he carried the basics needed to start again.
A couple of months ago, I moved to a new country, and it honestly felt like my own kind of flood. Everything familiar was gone. I didn’t have much with me, didn’t speak the language, didn’t really know how anything worked. But I realized I still had my essentials — creativity, curiosity, patience, and a little grit. That’s what’s in my ark. With those, I can rebuild wherever I land.
If you’re making this craft with your kids, maybe it’s a nice moment to ask:
What would you put in your ark?
What are your fundamental building blocks — the things you always carry that help you start again?

More Relaxing Craft Time
If you and your kids are enjoying this kind of calm, creative time together, you might also like my Mermaid World printable craft. It’s a magical undersea scene with mermaids (and a merman!). The scene has coral reef full of fish and sea creatures to color, a seashell that opens and reveals a hidden mermaid, a castle, and a treasure chest to build.
And since it’s MerMay — a whole month when artists all over the world are drawing mermaids — it’s the perfect time to join with your own mermaid-themed creation 🧜♀️🧜
Just like the Noah’s Ark craft, this one gives kids space to be creative, build something together, and enjoy a peaceful moment to color, chat, and make something magical.
