If you’re looking for a printable Christmas wreath craft that’s cute, glittery, and easy for kids to make, this one brings all the joy without the mess. Today we’re making a DIY Christmas wreath from paper, with kawaii characters to color, no-mess glitter patches, and the fun of cutting and sticking things onto a big circle (very satisfying, highly recommended).
If you made my Printable Halloween Wreath, this follows the same process. Everything you need for this paper Christmas wreath is in the printable template: the characters and decorations to color and cut, stencils for the glitter paper shapes, and even the stencil for the wreath base. The step-by-step tutorial with the photos and list of supply are waiting for you in this post.

How to Make Your Printable Christmas Wreath
1. Print the template on white cardstock. Cardstock for printers works great for printable paper crafts — it holds color better and won’t flop when hung.

2. Color all the pieces you want to include — kawaii Christmas elf and reindeer, holy leaves, Christmas tree, and other Christmas symbols. Leave the grey glitter-marked areas uncolored (they are for sticking glitter paper).

3. Cut all the pieces: the decorations, the stencils for the glitter paper, the stencil for the wreath base, and the ‘Merry Christmas’ sign.

4. Trace the glitter stencils onto the back of your glitter paper. It doesn’t matter if the stencil is facing up or down — it will fit either way.

There is a round stencil for glitter paper balls — cut as many glittery balls as you like and add them to the wreath.

5. Match each glitter piece to its spot on the template parts and glue them down. Quick test-fit before gluing is helpful.

6. Make the wreath base:
- Take the half-ring stencil and place it near the edge of the carton (or big cereal box). Trace around it, then use the same stencil to draw the other half of the ring. Cut out the ring – this will be the base of your wreath.

- Glue colored paper or cardstock onto the cardboard ring. If one sheet isn’t enough, just overlap two — it doesn’t need to be perfect.
- Cut the colored paper around your cardboard circle, leaving a border (around ½ inch or 1.5 cm).
- Snip the border into tabs, fold them to the back, and glue.

7. Glue the “Merry Christmas” sign to the banner using small pieces of double-sided foam tape. The foam tape gives your paper craft a 3D feel.

8. Lay all the Christmas pieces on the wreath without gluing yet. Try different placements and choose the one you love.
When you’re happy, start gluing. Use foam tape for a few pieces to make them “pop” — I like doing this with the main character and one or two decorations.

9. Hang the “Merry Christmas” sign below the wreath, using glitter pipe cleaners. Tape the ends of the pipe cleaners to the back and bend the tips over the tape so they stay put.

10. Add a hanger: Tape a string or ribbon to the top back of the wreath. Tie small loops at the ends so the tape grips better.
Hang your wreath somewhere festive and admire your glittery holiday masterpiece! 🎄✨
