Making gorgeous DIY stickers at home is much easier than I thought. After trying this with a friend, I ended up spending an afternoon coloring, cutting, and turning little drawings into glossy stickers. The stickers looked surprisingly professional, despite being completely homemade, without sticker paper, a Cricut machine, or any special tools. Wanna make them too?

Homemade Stickers Without Sticker Paper
This simple DIY sticker craft uses clear tape instead of sticker paper and turns printable illustrations into glossy homemade stickers that are ready for notebooks, journals, happy mail, and more.
The illustrations in this printable are inspired by happy moments in daily life: hanging out with a friend, drinking a fun drink, relaxing in a bath, spending time in nature, and cuddling with a book. One good moment a day can make for a better week. Many better weeks can make for a better life!

This low-prep, mess-free craft works for all ages – kids, tweens, teens and adults! Use the finished stickers to decorate journals, notebooks, letters, cards, gifts, and other stationery.
Below you’ll find the step-by-step tutorial, plus a simple way to turn your stickers into a sticker pack that you can proudly give as a handmade gift.
Make Glossy DIY Stickers – Step by Step
What you’ll need*:
- This Printable kawaii stickers to color
- Printing cardstock (recommended, though regular paper works too)

Steps:
1. Print out the template with kawaii stickers to color. The page includes a bag topper for the packing, too. You can color it now or keep it for the packing step.
Note: Printing on cardstock gives sturdier results, which look nicer, especially for the bag topper. But regular paper would work, too.

2. Color the sticker designs with colored pencils or fine-tip markers. I used alcohol-based markers.

3. Cut out each design. Some white margins look cute!

4. Stick a piece of clear packaging tape on a piece of baking paper / parchment paper / wax paper. Make sure the tape is large enough to fit your sticker design.
If your tape is too narrow, overlap two pieces slightly to create a wider sheet of tape.
5. Place one kawaii design on the tape, face-up. Stick another piece of tape over it so the design is sandwiched between two layers of tape.

6. Cut around the sticker, leaving a small white border.

Your first sticker is ready! When you want to stick it, simply peel off the baking paper and reveal the sticky back side!

Repeat the same process with your other stickers to complete your collection of kawaii DIY stickers.
Ready to turn your stickers into a cute handmade pack? The details are below.
Make Your Own Sticker Pack
1. Cut out the bag topper from the printable template and color it.

2. Place your stickers in a 4”X6” (or 10X15 CM) cellophane bag. Fold the bag topper along the dashed line and staple it over the top edge of the cellophane bag to seal your sticker pack.

Your DIY kawaii sticker pack is ready to show off, give to someone special, or keep for yourself!
