Passover is just around the corner, so how about we add a fresh zest to our long-lived tradition? I created a fun, meaningful Passover activity that will do just that. I’m happy to bring a piece of the Passover story right into your home with a fantastic Passover craft for kids: Make the crossing of the Red Sea! This craft available now in my Etsy shop, ready for you to download and enjoy.
Epic Tale, Epic craft
We all know the dramatic scene in which Moses leads the Israelites through the parted Red Sea. Even if we never celebrated Passover, we encountered the scene in movies and books.
With this printable Passover craft, you can make the Red Sea crossing scene out of paper. The scene includes Moses holding up his staff, Miriam with her tambourine, the liberated Israelites, the parted Red Sea with curly waves and tropical fish, and camels and pyramids for the background. Move the characters through the parted sea and deliver them to the promised land!

All the pieces are easy to assemble, thanks to a simple design and clear instructions. Look how cute the camels are:

Fore extra fun, Add some tropical fish to the sea! After all, the Red Sea is known for its beautiful riffs.

A Meaningful Passover Activity
Passover is filled with stories of courage, faith, and freedom. These themes reach a crescendo in the epic scene of the Red Sea crossing. Whether you are religious, secular or somewhere in between, there are some exciting tropes to reflect on during Passover. From the resilience of the Israelites as Pharaoh’s slaves, through the persistence and guts of Moses, and to the final moment when the Israelites walked through the parted sea and believed they’ll come out safely to something better on the other side.
Start a meaningful discussion with your kids as you enjoy your Passover craft time together.
Easy and Fun Printable Craft
I’ve designed this printable paper craft to be simple enough for younger kids, yet engaging enough to interest the older ones. With easy-to-follow instructions and printable templates that are so fun to color, your family can create a 3D scene that calls for endless playtime. This printable craft is the perfect way to dive into the Passover story and it’s meanings while engaging in a creative activity.
